Important: Please ask us for the gate code at least the day before your visit – we’re a volunteer-run club and don’t have a manned office/landline at the club.

🚤 Lessons – what to expect

We provide all the kit –  wetsuits, buoyancy aids, skis and wakeboards – and will get you fitted up before your session.

Your lesson will typically include:

  • Dry‑land introduction We’ll show you how to put on your skis and move from sitting → balanced → standing using a practice rope on the grass. This includes a safety briefing for both skiers and anyone observing from the boat.
  • Training bar session Our boats have training bars on the side, allowing you to get the feel of standing up while your instructor gives real‑time guidance. Friends and family can ride in the boat to watch, take photos, or learn tips for their turn.
  • Progression to the long rope Once you’re comfortable on the bar, you’ll move to a long rope behind the boat. It can take a few attempts — that’s completely normal.

We’re a volunteer‑run club, not a commercial centre, so the focus is on giving everyone an enjoyable ~10 minute experience. When people make progress and have fun, they always come back.

Friends are welcome in the boat to watch the action. Our experienced drivers and instructors will support you throughout.

ℹ️ Good to know

TWSC operates two American Malibu tournament boats with training bars for beginners, plus a tower and optional wake‑enhancing equipment for wakeboarders. Our lake is one of the largest in the South used for water skiing and includes two slalom courses for experienced skiers.
