How to book
Please contact us via our webform to book your session.
Cost is £20 per person with all equipment and instruction included or you may take up our Introductory Offer so that if you subsequently join the club you will receive 3 free tow tickets, which means your cost would be as if you had joined from the start.
What to expect
Our day begins at 9am with introductions and a tour of our club house & facilities. We will also get you fitted up with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and suitable water skis/wake boards.
Your session will look a little like this:
- Dry land lesson where you will learn how to put on your skis and how to get from the sitting position -> balanced position -> standing up. We do this using a practice rope on the grass and pull you up into the relevant positions whilst you are wearing your skis. This can take a little bit of practice. We will also provide a safety briefing for skiers and those who will be observing from the boat.
- We have training bars on the side of the boat which allows you to get the feel of standing up – and enables your instructor to monitor your progress and give you tips on your positioning. Your friends and/or other participants will also be in the boat where they can take pictures or get tips for when it’ll be their turn.
- After a few starts you should become comfortable on the bar – at this point you’ll graduate to a long rope behind the boat. It can take a few attempts to get up.
- We always allow plenty of time we are a club run by enthusiast volunteers so not rushing to make a profit. Our lesson format is based on giving the participants an enjoyable 10+ minutes – we find people come back again if they make progress and enjoy themselves.
What to bring
All that is needed is a costume, towel, food, drink, picnic (BBQ available for use) and a camera to record the fun. Friends are welcome to ride in the boat to observe the excitement and the experienced drivers/ instructors will give all the help needed to learn or improve.
